Our250 Good Works of Mercy campaign is underway! Over the next four weeks, in an effort for our parish to complete 250 (or more) Good Works of Mercy, would you (and your family) be able to commit to ONE Good Work a week? Whether it is a small act or prayer that just takes a few minutes, or a longer commitment sharing time, talent or treasure, let's step out of what is comfortable, what is routine in our lives and work to bring peace, healing and hope to our parish and community.
1. Pray a Rosary: if praying the Rosary is not part of your daily routine, slow down andPray a Rosaryfor a special intention, or join the St. Stephen's 9am Mass group that prays the Rosary immediately following daily Mass. Consider praying a Rosary when you're driving, exercising, folding laundry or doing the dishes.
2. Write a note or make a cardor two for a resident of Schervier Pavillion. Cards and letters can be dropped off in the Parish Office. A collection box for cards is located outside the main office. Cards will be delivered in July.
3. Purchase a bag of groceriesfor the Warwick Food Pantry Summer Feeding Program. Hunger doesn't take a vacation. 5. Donate a tomato plantfor St. Stephen's Community Garden, which donates all produce grown to our area food pantries, providing fresh and healthy food options for families struggling with food insecurity. Plants can be dropped off at the Parish Community Center Office.
6. Volunteer to weed and water St. Stephen's Community Garden - please contact Melyssa at [email protected] to volunteer for a shift.
7. Volunteer at the Regional Food Bank in Montgomery - daily shifts are available Monday - Saturday, ranging from 1.5 - 2.5 hours in the warehouse. A few parishioners have signed up to volunteer this Thursday, June 11 from 1 - 3pm. To register:https://regionalfoodbank.net/volunteer-page/.
